Thursday 22/05/08 What small dfw things will you do today???

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Mornng everyone and any new posters!
Not feeling very well today, very sinusy and heady so will see how i feel as the day goes on, as to how much i manage to do.
-Phone up colleges regarding counselling courses i've seen
-Phone up place regarding a job
-Sort out cv to apply for another job
-Revise for body massage exam
-Go to college
-Continue filling in application form for counselling course
-Do my review of where i'm at, which i didn't get done yesterday
-Work out time plan, so i can see what times i am available to work
-Look for more jobs
-Look for mystery shops
-Sort through emails
-Do any surveys i may receive
-Forgot that i have a mystery shop to do this afternoon as well
-Have emailed someone back regarding voluntary work
-Have applied for a few jobs/phone up about them and have application packs coming out
Have a great day everyone

Well, am rather chuffed, i put my details on a recruitment site for health care workers etc and within ten minutes i had a call regarding some work that may be available. He said he would phone round his homes and see if they can fit me in anywhere! It was a bit of a shock to the system as i was unsure how easy it would be to find a suitable job but its been a nice confidence boost.:j Live on £4500, £2531/£4500:T 101 in 1001 (52/101):j:beer::j

Cleosmum, i do regular reviews to see where i am at. It keeps me focused and allows me to see where i am at and where i want to get and set goals for the near future. I think your definitely right, you need to site down and have a look at things and this may help focus you more. Go back to setting yourself small targets to achieve.:j Live on £4500, £2531/£4500:T 101 in 1001 (52/101):j:beer::j

Thanks Andan, I only looked at it recently but I just seem to be letting slip, and I think its because I am now paying everything and easily affording stuff, its quite easy to think I have got it right and can relax, if you know what I mean?0
