Naff or not?

My son (12) plays for a football team and this season, they won the league!

They have a party to attend a week on Sunday and all parents have been asking to bring a tray of some kind of food.

Last year I took sausage rolls and chipolata sausages, but of course 50% of other parents did the same! (The other 50% took sandwiches)

I was going to make a couple of trays of fairy cakes with green icing and yellow icing (their kit colours), then use an icing pen to do the initials of the teams name. (R.B. for example)

Do you think 12 year old lads would eat fairy cakes or is that a bit naff?:confused:

Just don't want to do the same as last year and see the food go to waste because everything was the same!

They'll love it! Team colours and initials are pretty blokey and the lads won't call them "fairy cakes" anyway - they'll just eat them!

I think it's a great idea - especially doing them in the team colours.

    Great idea.
But make a few spares with no initials...

Excellent idea! And dont wory about them being called fairy cakes either....a group of 12 yr old lads will get a lot of mileage out of the word 'fairy' at a get together:D
