HSBC e-ISA rate change

Hi

Seems like a good deal?

Do any of you Hsbc "insiders"! know from past experience if they are likely to drop the rates a lot after a while or do they try to keep them competitive? If you know what I mean??

Also is it correct that you have to already be a hsbc customer to get it?

Pity it isn't a fixed rate option, I cannot see that rate lasting for the full year.

I wouldn't be entirely surprised if the rate were to drop more or less in line with any further rate cuts for 6 months to a year, then by more afterwards. However, this is merely a guess on my part, as I have no say whatsoever as to when the rates are adjusted! For all I know this product might stay very competetive for the rest of the year and in to next year too.
