ISP Plus.Net Broadband Query

Now I know why I NEED to get away from AOL!!!
I am completely updating my computer system and wish to migrate from AOL broadband to Plus.Net broadband. (Don't want to put AOL on the new system.) I have gone round and round in circles with AOL this afternoon at premium rate numbers trying to find out some information which Plus.Net have verbally advised me that AOL should be able to provide. I have been shuffled between the cancellations department and the technical department at AOL and back again because everyone is passing the buck and telling me that they do not have the information.
I also tried phoning 150 for BT, but you cannot get to speak to anyone.
I am therefore now well stressed and hoping that anyone who is presently with Plus.Net will be able to tell me HOW I get the following information.
I already have the MAC number, but what I need to find out my "current BT product" which is something along the lines of BT IPStream Home (various options) or DataStream Home (again, various options).
Until I have this information I cannot complete the Plus.Net on-line registration and migrate, and thereby leave the dreaded AOL.
HELP!!
