I want to make a cd for working out to,all the favourite high tempo stuff from my cd collection onto a cd-r.How do I take single tracks from a cd and add them to a collection.I realise this is a simple thing to do ,but I am too daft to do it.As I have paid for all the music in question,I don't think this is a copywrite issue so no probs there.TIA D.

Hi Dusty,
Put the cd drive in with the track you want to rip. Open windows media player and goto the tab at the top that says rip. Select the track and then click rip track. This will then place the track in my music within my documents (usually) and then you can burn the cd the normal way0 -
Exact Audio Copy works well https://www.exactaudiocopy.de - postcardware, and very handy if the original disc is scratched etc. There are 10 types of people in the world, those that understand binary and those that don't
In many cases it helps if you say where you are - someone with local knowledge might be able to give local specifics rather than general advice0 -
dbPowerAmp has a good Audio CD ripper.0

do any of these work if there isnt a menu for tracks showing? The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 10 characters.

Not sure what you mean by that. Exact Audio Copy will just list the tracks as Track 01, Track 02 etc but if you want you can connect to the freeDB CD database so that the track info (name, title, etc) is filled in for you. Most CD rippers work in the same way. EAC is generally regarded as one of the best as it has a whole load of tricks hidden away under advanced features.0

why not browse the cd and right click and copy the files and then paste them to a folder, do this for all the music you want and then you can burn them to cd from the folder. Should work providing their isnt copy protection.I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. when you look at the folder the files are in , are the different tracks not shown in there ? Usually each song is a seperate mp3 etc.
If they are, just select the ones you want, and if your in XP, just right click and send to your CD RW and it'll open the CD creation wizard.I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals.
