Yeah you can try the system restore- hopefull you will have a recent restore point. If you can just restore it to the closest point before running cc cleaner. You know how to do the system restore? Let me know if you dont.0 -
ahh I don't know how to do it! I followed the instructions, the box is unchecked & I click apply & ok & nothing happens!
EDIT - It's ok I was on the wrong instructions & was on the wrong system restore apparently. I think I'm going crazy but I'm trying again now! lol0 -

Ok once you are into the sys restore and you have clicked on 'restore my computer to an earlier time' press next, then you will see all the dates- if you have any restore points they should be in bold, if you just click on one that is in bold and click next and next again-does it do anything? it should start the restore process?0 -

thank you SO MUCH! everything is back to normal again now.
I have no idea what I did but I think I should uninstall CCleaner incase I do it again!

Ahh my conscience is now free lol.
