    I agree, and linen is v difficult to work with, or so I'm told. I get any alterations done at John Lewis. Obviously the items need to be bought from there, but their workmanship is always excellent.

    You've got to see the funny side of it, and it could be so much worse - at least you know you can get another pair if you need to.

    Take them back to the lady tomorrow, see what she's got to say. I'm sure it can all be sorted.
