well hi everyone. sent the letter to DCA requesting a pro rata payment at present time as cant afford any better at moment. still waiting to hear back. just finished a mega run of 8 thirteen hour shifts (mostly overtime) in 9 days so am really shattered and not been on here in a while.just a shame that the pay i will get for this is having to go towards boiler reinstallation and not my debts. it would have been a huge chunk off them but on the upside at least i wont have got in to any further debt by getting credit for the repair. the pro rata payment as calculated on the cccs website worked out at £36 a month on a debt of £1760, does this sound ok to anyone? do you think they will accept for the time being at least?

well i think i spoke to soon. just opened my mail from today and letter from DCA saying they have confirmed with land registry that i am a home owner and as such are considering applying to the county court for a judgement against me. think the letter i sent offering payment may have crossed in the post. i sent it on 16th june and theirs was written 18th. they go further to say that if a judgement is granted and i still fail to pay they can place a charging order on me to secure the debt against my home. asking me to telephone them. should i just wait to see if they reply to my offer or write to them again? i find it hard that after nearly 6 years of hearing nothing about this debt that they are now writing threatening letters like this. what should i do?

no reply from dca again as yet. sent them another letter saying i have already offered a pro rata payment and why have they not acknowledged it? get the feeling that they are just going to go straight to court without giving me the chance to make a deal.seems very unfair that this would mean a 1st ccj on my name when i havent even known the existence of this debt for nearly 6 years. i as much as told them this in the letter i wrote and said i would report them for threatening and intimidating conduct.does this sound right?
