What's this about?

Whether you're getting ready for a summer BBQ, or fancy a pint of cider at the pub, there are a few drink offers lurking around that'd save you a bob of two.

What's on offer?

• A pint of Strongbow at your local pub for the cost of a text (next Tues 5 - 7pm)
  
  Via its website, Strongbow is offering a free pint simply by signing up to a free account online and for the cost of a text.
  
  After entering your date of birth on its website, click on 'Bowtime free pint' on the bottom right-hand side of the page you're re-directed to. Then select to sign up to an account (including your address and mobile phone number), fill in a short questionnaire and you'll be sent a text that you'll need to reply to, confirming your name, house number/name and postcode.
  
  You'll then be sent a reply that a free pint voucher (this could be via text or email) will be sent to you before next Tuesday (27 May) to be used that day between 5 and 7pm. Not the most wide ranging deal.. but if you've got the time then why not?

• Four-pack of Coors Light for £1.31 at Morrisons
  
  On page 6 of the May/June edition of Morrisons Magazine there's a coupon for £2 off any Coors Light pack.
  
  The cheapest pack 4x330ml at £3.31, so if it's your favourite tipple you'll be able to get it for just £1.31, around 33p a can. Vouchers can be used until 30 June.

• Stella Artois: 24x440ml for £10.47 (44p a can) also in Morrisons
  
  Morrisons is selling a mega big 24-pack of Stella 440ml cans for the equivalent of 44p a can. The offer's available in stores until Monday 26 May and is limited to six cases per person.

Just to add another offer - Morrisons are going to sell Stella 24 cans(440ml) for £10.47 starting this Thursday - ltd to six cases a person.

thats great, i have a morrisons close to me. I went down but didnt see anyhting to say this, how did you find out it begins on thursday?, i asked the guy working there but he didnt seem to know?

good find though, pity it wasnt on for tonight.

The free pint of cider does have a couple of drawbacks::

Must be purchased in pub between 5-7pm and you have to show the voucher on phone to the barstaff and then you must delete message in front of them to ensure you do not rty to use again!! I love cider especially free cider but it does seem a little bit of hassle

Carling Lager: 24x440ml for £9.98 at Tesco???

This deal ended on 20th May 2008. I know as I was in my local store yesterday and stocked up for the summer. It is now £14 which Tesco refer to as a special purchase. Not that special in my opinion 58 pence a can. You would be far better off with the Morrisons deals.

I have come across 24 x 440ml cans of Carling for £9.98 (save £6 on normal price). This is a Sainsbury's online special for delivery by 10/06/08.

My tiple is the german or chekoslavakian beers. The best deal @ moment is Becks at Morrissons
2 boxes for £16, fill up for the summer

spend over £30.00 at morrisions with the voucher in the Sun newspaper and save another £5.00 this makes it 37p per tin

Best deal at my local Asda this week is 20 x 300ml Grolsch bottles for £7 each!

Best I've seen in a long while, I got 3 cases! Not sure how long its on for though? 35p a bottle
