Maglite prices slashed

I had a maglite for now well over 10 years, and its been brilliant, well built solid and yes could be used as a weapon and its still going fine. They are heavy though but built to last0

If you just want it for the odd use then definately go for a cheap one,
Not so sure about this...I have a 3C (iirc) Maglite in the boot of my car for emergencies. It seems to me the last torch you want to break is the one you're using in an emergency...
And I really think anyone who feels they could be put together for a couple of pence has clearly never seen/held one...0 -
For the record, Millets have 20% off all Maglite torches at the moment, instore only ;-)
Not quite as cheap as 7DS but if you need in a hurry or don't want to pay postage (on smaller models, for example) it's a better bet.

I'm not so naive to think that the emergency services buy their torches at Poundland, and I'm willing to accept that there are certain people who need a good quality torch and would be willing to pay for it - but for the average man (and woman!!) in the street, it's a lot of money to spend on a torch.

I'm an average woman with a Maglite
Actually I have a serious Mag fetish and own a rechargeable £129 one as well as some smaller ones. I take mine with me when I take the dogs and its so powerful that I wouldn't have to hit someone with it if they attacked me I'd just shine it in their eyes!
Mine has been dropped on tiles and still works great.
A Maglite is satisfyingly heavy... oh god I'm a geek :eek:0 -
Best price in my opinion is at Costco. They sell pack of two (3D and 2D) inc battery for around £15/£16 inc VAT. The 2D Maglite goes for about £12/£13 elsewhere. Therefore, Costco price would be the best price around. Only problem is though, you have to be a member to shop there but if you know someone then just go with them for free..Hope it helps some...Titch
