I would say go for it, my OH brother has met a couple of people he got to know on the internet and says he has made some great friends.

Just make sure someone knows where you are and that you meet in a public place and you will be fine

Like others have said life is too short

After my divorce i met 26 men in a couple of years for dteas. EVERY one was fun, no problems at all. Then i fell in love and we have been happily married for 8 years. I would say, "Go for it".

    Hello,

I would go for it, definitely, I met my husband online. But everyone is saying be safe. By that I would mean, have a person that knows where you are going and who with. They should have both your mobile number and your mans mobile number, along with his car registration number, make and model, full name and date of birth. You should also have a special sentence that you can say to your safe person - something that wouldnt sound out of place in a conversation - and tell your safe person if you say that particular phrase it means phone the police and give them all the information you have I am in trouble here. Now, if this man is a winner, and I truly hope he is, he will be happy to tell you all that information, and you will never have to use your safe phrase.

The reason I say this is someone I knew went and met someone off the internet, ended up tied to a bed unable to escape but fortunately was able to reach her mobile - had to phone her husband (a copper) who came and rescued her. They arent married anymore.

    Be safe not sorry!

    All the best,

    Gale
