Do you know any Free "prove reading"

Well i was formally a computational geneticist, so reading a computational genetics thesis wasn't actually that heavy reading.0

Whereas for me I would be too confused by the jargon to do the thesis any justice. I wouldn't know whether words had been used in the right context, whether the spellings were correct etc.
I would want something for spending time reading and offering comments on someone's thesis. Not necessarily money, but something.0 -
Who's going to be daft enough to ask someone with dyslexia to offer mutual proofreading?0

Fairly soon after completing my PhD, I proof-read an MSc thesis in a similar area. Each chapter took me more than four hours, so it was certainly not a small favour. The author was actually working full-time while I was unemployed, so I had no qualms about accepting money from him, quite a lot of money as a matter of fact.
Free proof-reading is likely to be worth just as much as you pay for it!0 -
Another idea is to get a screen reader to read it out loud for you. It's amazing how many mistakes it shows up especially things like words repeated. It won't really help with punctuation though. This is a free one http://www.readplease.com/
I have used it and it seems ok. There is also a paid for version on that site too. I don't know anything about that as I only used the freebie.0 -
If you have dyslexia then many Unis have special needs depts that may (depending on take up and timescales)offer proofreading.0
