Check with your Uni / College. They may have a list of people which may do Proof reading.

Have you not got a family menber or a good friend who can do it for you? I read my daughters dissertation which she sent me in sections/chapters via email, I made notes whilst reading it and emailed them back.

Knowing the time and concentration it takes to proof read, I doubt anyone bar family would do it for free.

The proof reading services cost a fortune (like £600+ for a large one)

How about making great freinds with your Tutor?

Or how about doing it yourself? After all, you're the one being assessed on the work.

The whole idea of proof reading is that it isn't the person who wrote it who checks

And the whole idea of writing a thesis is that it should be your own work and your own mistakes!

if you are proofreading your own work for typos and spelling errors, a good tip is to read it backwards.

No harm in getting those mistakes looked at mind you.

Where I used to work there was a fairly senior manager who sent out regular memos which he ran though a spell checker. So all the words were fine - but that didn't necessarily mean it made sense

    Like this
    Eye halve a spelling chequer
It came with my pea sea
It plainly marques four my revue
Miss steaks eye kin knot sea.

Eye strike a key and type a word
And weight four it two say
Weather eye am wrong oar write
It shows me strait a weigh.

As soon as a mist ache is maid
It nose bee fore two long
And eye can put the error rite
    Its rare lea ever wrong.

Eye have run this poem threw it
I am shore your pleased two no
Its letter perfect awl the weigh
    My chequer tolled me sew.

There are numerous variations of the above
