Help! - wax on clothes!!

Stupidly I have managed to get a load of wax on my clothes - how can I get it off without ruining my stuff??

First I'd carefully scrape off any excess then I'd placed the item between two pieces of kitchen roll- put some brown paper on top of that and iron on a low heat, repeatedly moving the kitchen roll until all the wax was melted and absorbed (The brown paper just protects the iron). It's worked for me.0

isnt wax removed by putting garment in freezer ? or is that chewing gum ? ? good luck.0
