I am getting very worried now. Is this packet data stuff just for the more modern systems like 3G. My trusty vintage 3310 will hopefully be immune from these unwanted packages. Thank godness I didn't win a modern one !

I use a PAYG sim in an old mobile just for competitions. I keep a max of £5 on it so if this did happen the max I would loss is £5.

Glad to hear you got the money back! I'm another one who uses a PAYG phone, so hopefully I wouldn't have to take too big of a hit if it happened to me!

Thanks for the heads up.

I like many others use an old phone for competitions with a PAYG sim and only keep about £4 on there. For comps that require a landline to be entered when i know they contact you by post or e mail i use all the zeros or an old bt number i had which is no longer connected.

anouther one i watched on tv recently is bloothooth jcking if your not using it turn it off my nephew was a victim of over 300 pound
