A quick question about my samsung d500...

hey guys,

just a quick question. Basically i got a samsung d500 and need it unlocked and the firmware debranded. I understand that i need it unlocked in a shop but i have a cable and was wondering if i could save some of my money and download the debranded software and copy it onto my phone myself?

Also when i turn my phone on with the 02 card in instead of orange, it asks me for a "network lock" code, which i believe to be 8 letters or numbers. does anyone know this code?or is it different for everyone

not much you can do with the cable...much easier to swallow the cost and get it flashed with clean (non Orange branded ) software and unlocked

cost about £10-15

take a look round a local boot fair tomorrow, normally someone doing this cheaper than most shops

there is a code for these in the Unlocking models other than nokia thread but it only worked on the real early ones

im gonna try the market tomorrow to get it unlocked bt if u know anywhere i can get flash info or anything like that then i could get it done myself and unlocked tomorrow.

hiya have you tried the code #*7337# just out of curiosity....
it wouldn work on mine until recently i sent my phone to samsung for a software update cos was having probs with bluetooth (made no difference to the bluetooth) but i tried the code and it worked

and not sure if this works but its been posted on here before *2767*688#

you can unlock it and debrand it yourself
you need 2 different cables. the s/w and flash-files are available on the web but the person who supplies your cables should be able to give you the s/w and flashes free.

we forgot the PW of our photo storage thingy ... can't access the pictures now .... how would we fix that problem?

We didn't buy the phone in the UK, but will Samsung still be able to help us and how much are we looking at?
