Well done :T . Don't be emarrassed. That's the sort of thing I do on an all too regular basis:rotfl: . Perhaps you could staple it to your son's hand so he won't lose it again?! You could always sew a label onto it with your mob number in case it ever gets lost again? Or buy the one on ebay and keep it just in case...The IVF worked;DS born 2006.0

YIPEE!! Im lucky my ds lasn't taken to one particular toy...although his daddy won a soft dog teddy today in a charity raffle at work called Charlie which our ds can say (he's 21 months and a little chatter box although not all legible)....he's not put it down and has taken it to bed. Think i might start looking for one now just incase. Glad you found it, as someone else said i do this sort of thing all the time.xx0

What a nightmare.
My daughter lost "George" last week. It's really a Piglet (as I was too tight to get her any proper Peppa Pig merchandise when there are perfectly good stuffed toys here already). It's from my collection from years ago and hence quite rare (never seen another like it.......as I rediscovered when I was desperately searching Ebay for it!).
She asked for him at bedtime and I had to tell her that he'd gone on holiday.
So I then spent about 2 hours looking for him and panicing that she'd dropped it on the way to school and was even contemplating breaking into the playground to have a look.
My son came down and asked what the matter was and I just cried as I was so stressed. I found it about 5 minutes later stuffed into one of her handbags (I think she was taking him shopping.
I know what you've been through!
Glad you found it."One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -
i've got a gorgeous kids book about a lost toy, where it has a huge adventure, somehow getting mended and washed while on its travels and ends up looking brand new in the toy shop waiting for the child to come along and buy him again - and the child will know in his heart that his new-looking toy is his old battered tatty ratty
it's a nice story :rotfl:'bad mothers club' member 13

my 2 year old doesn't have a special favourite toy really but my eldest did and it was tie dyed  the replacements in shops and on ebay didn't have the exact same patterns or colours 'bad mothers club' member 13

This reminded me of when my daughter was about 3 (9 now), and she lost her favourite doll while out shopping....we retraced all the shops....and we frantically dashed into Next when security asked what was wrong...my daughter bellowed at the top of her voice " I LOST CHINA!"........:o
(CHINA was what she had christened her doll....well 'cos she was made in CHINA!)
The security guard had sat CHINA up on the till at checkout.:D
Btw - She cringes when i tell her this story!!:rotfl:
Glad he found his teddy x0 -
I found it best if 'favourite' toys preferred the quiet life, ie to be left at home ...Signature removed for peace of mind0

My near 3YO has 2 favourite cuddlies which he won't go to sleep without. They HAVE to live in his cot except for emergencies (how many times have we been to A & E?!), but just in case of tragedy we had 2 pet ID tags ingraved with VIP & our phone number which I have sewn on them in the hope that if lost soemone will realize their importance & call us!
