I need to get rid of my bathroom suite. The Hippo bag doesn't seem to bad for £81. Put the bath in, then the sink, toilet etc inside. Cheaper than getting a skip.

My council tip accepts my personal stuff for free. Businesses and outsiders have to pay though.
GOOGLE it before you ask, you'll often save yourself a lot of time. ;)

The largest 'builders' skip you'll get is an 8 yrd. I have a full one sat on my drive at the moment awaiting collection

Just make sure someone dosn't stick a Car in it before it's picked up...

Skip sizes are measured by volume.

A 4 yard skip will hold 4 cubic yards or 3 cubic metres.

An 8 yard skip will hold 8 cubic yards or 6 cubic metres.

The mass (weight) a skip will hold depends on the desnity of the material and how well you fill the skip.

If you filled an 8 yard skip with well packed subsoil or with gravel, you could get upto 12 tonnes in it.

Didn't think the council would dispose of a bathroom suite!
I just gave them a call and they would collect it all for £20, not quite free but compared to a Hippo or skip... a bargain!

    Cheers for that

I got the council to collect the Toilet and Sink for free. They would have taken the Bath if I naver had all the tiles / rubble put in which made it extremely heavy to pick up.

Cheapest way is often to sort it, put it into sacks and take it to the local tip for recycling.

People sometimes want rubble for foundations. I delivered a load of bricks for free to get rid of them.

Freecycle your bathroom suite, you'll be amazed how many people would be very happy to take it off your hands. I was!
