My "doomsday" plans would probably include a box of chocs, a bottle of champagne and other stuff, some of which isn't exactly suitable for this forum.

Is the BBC taking on the role of trying to be guardian of the markets? Yesterday emphasising that a stock market correction was due and today (File on 4) arguing that a commodity price bubble had developed. I agree 'doomsday' overstates it, at least for most, and for those on low incomes in the third world most would wish for a collapse in food prices in particular.0
