Yeah, I saw that but (according to the checker) the sort code for my Nationwide account says isnt active yet (whilst my one for RBS is) so it looks like they may not be live on May 27.

Yes it says they will be rolling out the service over a period of time during 2008. So it seems it will be later in the year.

I read today that they are dropping their 'Proud to be different' ad campaign.
I take this to mean they will be introducing a raft of ''new'' charges on their products soon.

That campaign has always bugged me as apart from free withdrawals abroad, they didn't really do anything different to other building societies. Their savings rates have always been quite poor (compared to the top accounts) and the service in branch is depressingly slow.

My understanding is that he will drink so much champagne at the shareholders meeting that he actually explodes!

The fat guy was killed by the Autons in Dr Who (New aliens only?). This does not affect me as I am rarely in credit, but no great surprise. The penalty fees helped pay for this, so now those in credit will have to manage their money better. BTW Bristolleedsfan - You are a bit of a Play-Off jinx, aren't you?

Why would you want to do that with a current account anyway?

So I have enough money in there to pay my credit card off in full every month...
