You could try the Association of Charity Officers on 01707-651777 who may be able to find a charity that can help.
Are you or were you a member of a trade union as they can often help or did you serve in forces as SSAFA can also help.

Best of luck with everything, you are doing the right thing.

My friend suffers from mental health problems and she has been awarded DLA so give it a go!

Re above: I also know of several people who have been awarded DLA whilst suffering with mental health problems, so I agree it is definately worth a try. I didn't think I would be successful with my RSI but CAB filled all my forms in for me and basically advised what I needed to include and disgard by way of answers to give me the best chance of being awarded the benefit.

Thanks for all the advice & tips.. Gives me a couple of options, though i think i better get the piggy bank out and start saving..

Have requested an application pack for the DLA so we'll see how that goes..

Not sure i could get a social fund loan, as i've just had one to help me move house..
What came first, the music or the misery? Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable? Or was I miserable because I listened to pop music?

I notice you live in Lincolnshire..... I got assistance with my fees from Anglian Water Trust Fund as I live in Cambridgeshire. Perhaps they would help you too. Good luck
