Possible Bankruptcy - Advice..

CAP will organise your finances and take you through the bankruptcy process - all you have to do is provide them with details of you income and expenditure and your debts and they do the rest. They come to your home which is much better than doing it over the phone and also saves you postage. I have been with them since last December and it is the best thing I have ever done, it has taken all the stress away from me. My CAP contact is applying for the bankruptcy on my behalf, filling out the forms and collecting the money in from the monthly payment I make to them. A DMP is not really an option to me according to my advisor as i wouldn't be able to pay any of my creditors anything while i am off work..Christians Against Poverty - www.capuk.org0 -
This may well sound stupid but i really am trying to think of a way for you.
Do you have any credit available to you though cards, overdraft ect?.
No nothing at all, up to my overdraft limit & had my credit card stopped last year..What came first, the music or the misery? Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable? Or was I miserable because I listened to pop music?0 -

Does sound exactly the same as CCCS & Community Legal Advice, i did look and there is not a CAP in my area - i'm doing what they do with CLA and will do all the bankruptcy forms for me etc when i get the fee..What came first, the music or the misery? Ask for an increase in your overdraft, then draw it out. Beg the manager to give you a temp one, make some excuse up. May not be ethical but may be a way out;)Free impartial debt advice available from: National Debtline - Tel: 0808 808 4000 | The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) - Tel: 0800 138 1111 | Find your local Citizens Advice Bureau

Tried that a few months back and failed miserably - lol.. I think my credit rating is so bad my bank won't do anything for me.. Plus i've only been with them for 12 months so i guess they are cautious..What came first, the music or the misery? Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable? Hi Maverick:hello:
One idea might be to look here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.html?f=145 its the 'up your income' board and i can highly recommend sliceofpie. I've seen people make £40 + a month. Theres also loads of other little ways to make money such as poll sites etc. With some effort and time you could make the money within a couple of months.:j
Also check out the moneysaving old style board for ways of cutting back a little.
One more thing..if i had a £ for everyone that came on here saying they can't find the fee, then a month or so later manage to , then i would be a very rich person.
Determination and the threat of stress from debts can produce micracles:D
Good luckThe first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter

Thanks for the link, i'll have a look at that - i already do a couple of poll sites though it takes about 3-5 months to get £20 so maybe i'm doing the wrong ones..What came first, the music or the misery? I would contact the dss and apply for a social fund loan it is interest free and is not affected by BR. It is taken from your benefits each week or fortnightly. i would advice others to use this if your car has been repo'd by OR and you need a secondhand car if it is under £500 you do not have to declare it i.e tell dss you are BR.NO!MY NAME IS NOT WORZELIM JUST FEELING SLIGHTLY ROUGH TODAY0
