Agree with astonsmummy, your name cannot be put on the tenancy for a property that you should not be living in!
I am a bit confused by your post - surely if your partner has been on IB she has not been fit for work?
It may help us if you explain why you want your name on the tenancy?Gone ... or have I?0 -
Your name cannot be put on the rent book without her knowledge...as the tenant she must request this. Once requested you must both visit your local office and sign a new tenancy agrrement.
Perhaps if your girlfriend sees the letter threatening eviction because the rent isn`t being paid this will force her to act !!0 -

You have three choices (that possibly overlap): report her, leave her or live with it.Gone ... or have I?0

phew....have you considered moving out and getting your own property and having the kids with you ??? At least you wouldnt be looking over your shoulder to sees whose gonna be knocking on the door ! She obviously does not respect you...do yourself a favour and make an anonymous call . Is she really worth all this grief to you ??0

Yes, of course you would also be investigated, and from the information that you have given, it is likely that you would be prosecuted. You have gone along with her fraudulent actions for nine years.
It is likely that you would lose a lot more than anything you have put into the house if you were prosecuted. Fraud on the scale that you have described may well lead to a custodial sentence.Gone ... or have I?0 -
You are not classed as an accessory as it is her who is claiming so you have no worries there. I understand your second point however think about this...you have already spent thousands how many more thousands will you spend before you see the light. Being involved in your sons life is still do-able. Fathers have rights too. I know it may seem like a minefield but if you take one step at a time you will get there. She is right ...it is her house...it must feel awful knowing that at any point she could leave you homeless....you would then be without a home and without your son. It sounds to me like you already know what you should do !! Sometimes a leap of faith is all it takes to turn your life around. Try to look at all the positives and not the negatives...life has a funny way of working itself out you know...you wont lose your son...this is just a fear...be brave and do what is right...0
