    Hi Chris

Is that the Tesco Metro in Liverpool city centre or a local store?

  • well, not sure if anyone posted this before, but i just picked up a 300g Mangetouts last night. Shelf had 2 price labels: £1.89 and a 50p reduced price of £1.39. Item scanned at £1.89. Not sure if it is still available.

CS said they had the same problem 2 days ago. hmm... wonder why nothing was done about it. No problems getting it refunded and replaced from a helpful CS.
  • It has been mentioned previously, but I picked up a 'Roast in the Bag' Lemon & Garlic Chicken last night, £2.99 on shelf, but £3.99 on the bag.
Young flippertygibbet in CS readily handed the cash back to me (even though I used credit card) without question. She really couldn't have cared less.
Unfortunately it was the last chicken on display.
  • Been into Tesco (Infirmary Rd, Sheffield) this morning and saw stewing beef priced at £5-76kg on shelf but some packets were priced at £5-77kg. Picked up 3 packs and went to CS. After consulting with 2 other members of staff the floor manager eventually arrived and refunded me £7-04:j Bit cheeky but if you don't ask you don't get! BTW this is the first time I've tried this at Tesco - It won't be the last:D

Anybody in Bangor, NI? Look out for the Oak Smoked Salmon 200gr packs. Can't remember exactl details but pack price different from SEL. Already have a load from Knocknagoney and dont really like it that much so just left it for someone else. ;)

Sneaky Mr T's have shelf at the right price for once on this one, £2.56 SEL, pack price £2.88, avoid these like the plague, unless your buying it anyway, good job scanner working !! :rotfl:

New tactic to confuse MSErs further I reckon.
  • Mr T at Leyland Yesterday afternoon

Thank you to whoever posted about chicken drumsticks - shelf £1.99/kg, some packs £2.49 - managed to find this at a small Tesco Metro.

If a small Tesco has these, it's likely to happen elsewhere. Looks like old stock have old prices on them, whereas new ones have a sticker/new price.

Did have a bit of hassle getting my refund but got there in the end  :j

At Middlebrook today. Ally McBeal series 1, shelf edge £17.97, stickered at £16.97, scanned at £17.97.

    Lemon chickens, shelf-edge £2.99, scanned at £3.99.

CS lady said OK to DVD, BUT, tried to "explain" to me that the lemon chickens were last week's offer, and that the label was a mistake, so it didn't count.

After a bit of discussion, got my refund - £25-odd in total.

There was a bit of hargy-bargy between the staff who were talking about them not doing their proper 3-point checks and that HO would have something to say, and they were trying to put a stop to all these refunds. Fortuntely, not directed at me (I would have died!!!).

  • turkey steak (the quick cook ones) - £.5.22kg shelf- £7.22kg on packet (the offer finsihed recently so a lot still have the yellow promo label on) - got 4 packs, the CS said I should have got them all as it was not her money
