I have recently seen that the aerial photo of my area has been updated to one of last year (previously 2002 photo).
Can anyone please tell me what triggers an update of the photos and is there any way to make the photos updated more often?

Is it taken form a plane or satellite?0 -
Its a plane you can see the strips of land that is stitched together as its taken at different times of the day, cloud, sunny etc
I dont think its updated too often in a given area0 -

Depends on which plane as well. Google will buy the photos off certain aerial photography companies and Microsoft from other companies etc and so on. You won't always get the same photo on the different mapping systems (Google Earth isn't the only one)."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

(Google Earth isn't the only one).
What others are there?0 -
There's also Microsoft Virtual Earth.0

Plus things like multimap.com also use aerial photography as well. And pretty much any other mapping site."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

google earth is made up of both aircraft and satelite images0

Has anyone tried Microsoft Maps Live under the bird's eye tab. The images are very clear and allow you rotate to see from different angles.0

Strange, MS Aerial view zoomed to max is nowhere near as detailed as the one in MousePrice0
