Try setting up your router to use OpenDNS servers. Full instructions given here.

This looks interesting but what is OpenDNS?

Appears to me that you set the router up to use servers other than your ISPs but I am just not sure what happens:confused: once the changes have been made.

I am also with AOL so if I make these changes to OpenDNS will I get a faster more reliable service?
    Regards

It's just an alternative means of translating the names you type in your web browser's address bar into a format the computers of the internet can understand, and in turn tell your browser where to look for the sites they refer to.

    How Domain Name Servers Work

Of course, OpenDNS does other stuff too.

AOL recently (a few months ago) had fairly major dns issues affecting a large number of users, opendns would (and did) help in their cases, it may be a slightly faster resolution than aol's own servers, and with a good feature set, and free, so nothing to lose (i'm not with aol, and use opendns)

Why don't you simply read all about it on their website here and then try it for yourself? Your PC won't explode and you can stop using it if you don't like it!
