Wot no thread?!

Morning all - just off to see my dog!

Already been over to Bournemouth this morning to drop OH off to pick up his car

Busy day.

Will be AQA'ing until the food arrives, housework, then my marathon cake baking session, need to jot a few notes for my course tomorrow, wash my hair and apparently ( ) 'clear up' in the spare room for the carpet coming tomorrow - seems he makes the mess and I sweep up!

    Good morning all!
I've not been up long because we stayed up watching films that are SO BAD they're good!

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

I've decided not to bake until tomorrow, so everything is fresh for Tuesday. I should have the time - my course finishes at 12.30, then go for a walk with the dog until 1.30pm.

The carpet fitters are coming some time after 2 and will probably only take 20 minutes, so there's nothing to stop me getting on with it in the afternoon.

I guess that would knock on the head any ideas of heading straight to the pub as soon as they've gone and not stopping drinking until I was thrown out on the street to commiserate hitting 38, but hey, I guess I can live with that!

I'm kicking myself though. I decided to have all the ingredients delivered to save time and always use Asda now because they are cheaper and there are always free delivery codes. When I last made my carrot and date cake, OH said it would be nice with ginger in it and I agreed, so decided to add stem ginger - which Asda don't stock.

Decided to get the stuff from Tesco as they have 2 types of it, but paid more generally and couldn't get any codes to to work so ended up paying for delivery.

It's just been delivered. The ginger is out of stock - for both types. Ggrrrrrrr.

The price I paid for straying from Asda!!!!!

I'm just considering taking DD down to the Denso Marston nature reserve in Baildon at 2pm because they are doing a kids pond dipping event (free!) and the ranger gets them all catching things and identifying them but the weather looks a tad dodgy!
