    Less than 90 days.

    b0llox.

you've said elsewhere on this forum you are there for a YEAR - until July - that's a bit more than 90 days.

so i doubt your insurance is valid.

(and I hope you don't come to need to claim - insurers aren't stupid)

    Hello.

    This is my situation.

Year abroad in Germany (12 months) - taking laptop, mobile phone etc. Medical insurance already covered.

    What's my best option?

    Many thanks in advance!

I believe you should also register your car in Germany if you are going to be taking your car abroad for that period of time.

I assure you my insurance isn't void. Thanks for the concern though.

As a motor insurance underwriter, I assure you it is highly likely to be void if the information given regarding your UK residency is true. If you care to read your policy terms, there is a 90-day condition but the policy also clearly states: "Cover in these countries only applies if your main, permanent home is in the United Kingdom" - which it clearly isn't if you're living abroad for a year.

I think really you need to give our friends at Churchill a bell, explain to them that you spend less time in the UK than Judith Chalmers and they will give you 7 days to find new insurance. As it stands at the minute the cover you have isn't worth the paper it is written on.

Get over yourself, as I think you would phrase it!
