Ebay Buyer no longer wants item.

Hi
I haven't really caught up with all the new ebay rules yet. I sold a door on ebay last night and got an email this morning saying they no longer want it but they will pay £10 to cover my costs! I have offered it to the second bidder to see if they are interested. If they're not and the original buyer won't pay up how do I stand - with regards to getting my money and feedback.
Thanks

As far as I understand it, there won't be much you can do to get the buyer to pay up. If it were me I would accept the offer of £10 (which probably more than coverws costs) and leave him a nuetral feedback for at least paying your costs, hopefully he will leave you +ive feedback for being understanding. Then I'd list the item again. This is something that I've done in the past anyway.

Does £10 cover your final fees?
If not just NPB them and hope that bidder 2 is not a time waster as well."Love you Dave Brooker! x"

report them as a non paying bidder, but you have to wait until day 8 to do this. unfortunately you cant neg them to warn others, the most you can do is give them a non paying bidder strike. you would then get your final value fees back.0

I think their offer is a very good one. I'd take the money and relist it. I'd probably leave them positive feedback too.Happy chappy0

Not allowed any more!
I heard that you couldn't leave -ive, didn't know you couldn't leave nuetral either. Bit daft innit?DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 19017/05/08 - Total on DMP: £10025.7007/05/14 - Total on DMP: £1666.20 DFD: July 2017!!Baby Tomos born 5th June 2009 - 6lb 5oz :jWeight Loss Target - to lose 60.8lb by NYE 2015 - 37.6lb TO GO0 -
I just went to leave feedback and noticed the change. So basically you can leave +ive or nothing at all. What a con? When did this change take effect? I'm sure I didn't notice that a couple of days ago when I left feeback for some buyers.

Cynical, but true no doubt

I'm not sure why you would do this unless the fess are much more than the £10 offered. I know we get fed up with NPBs and excuses, but why punish someone who has made contact, said sorry I don't want the item any more, offered to pay £10 to cover costs. Unless the buyer has a history of doing it why not give them the benefit of the doubt.0
