Motorola V220 Question

My daughters V220 has had a few small problems in the past 11 months, things like it keeps asking for the sim card to be inserted when it already is, the battery goes flat in less than 24 hours when it's only in stand-by, and now when she selects the camera all she gets is a blank black screen.
Should i ask for a new one, or can anyone help out with this, or suggest a web-site that might be of some use.Can i put the phone back to factory settings?
Although my daughter wants a new phone for her birthday (december) i would like to have this phone as my Nokia brick is getting embarrasing,
thanks for any suggestions.

  • Have a look at my rant over a V220 and Orange HERE I wouldn't touch Motorola again with a bargepole and I had no help from either Motorola or Orange.
Good luck deciding on what to do!

If the phone has been working fine for nearly 11 months and all of a sudden plays up then I would wonder if there has been any damage to the phone.

The battery may be loosing its life and you may need a new one.

There is a very good forum link here and the people on there answer many questions specifically on Motorola phones:

My daughter also has a v220 and has no problems and I am a recent convert to Motorola phones when I got my v635.

You may find out some useful suggestions on the Howardforums link.
Its better to be late in this life than early in the next one.

    Slow down speed kills.
  • thanks for the replies, my sweet innocent daughter is as rough as a bull in a china shop, so i've no idea how much abuse the phone has been subjected too, which does make me reluctant to complain too much.
