What Phone to buy

Hey, this is my first time posting on here and although I have spent quite a long time on the boards looking for a simmilar post I couldn't find one that answered my question.

I currently have a sim on contract with virgin which my Dad pays at £15 a month which hasn't run it's minimum term yet so I am not looking for a new contract but my phone(a motorola razor which didn't come with the contract) is slowly losing the will to live. At present I am having to recharge my phone every night which , expecially when I am out isn't practical. And, after almost being stranded the other night, means I have to buy a new phone. The problem is, when faced with such a wide variety of choice is which phone to buy. I have looked at buying second hand, but have been advised not to in case something goes wrong with the phone. I don't want to spend loads of money on a phone and find it doesn't work, but I would like a good phone.. I quite like sony ericcssons.

This has been far too longer post. My basic question is do you know of any special offers or discounts that would allow me to buy a phone for say £60(or less)... obviously for that money I'm not expecting it to be a recent phone, just a camera, bluetooth, decent memory.. tbh it doesn't matter when it was released.

thanks

Alex x

lil Alex, the market is flooded with phones. Suggest you go to a local supermarket (Tescos, Sainburys, Asda etc) where they are selling phones from a fiver. Yes £5!! This is pretty basic though. You should get a phone with the things are looking for £50 or less.

Its not worth getting a second hand phone unless you lost a phone that you loved and can't buy it no more from the shops.

Avoid the mobile phone shops e.g. Carphone Warehouse, Phone4U etc - as they will try their best to convince you to get a new contract with another provider.
