That might be against ebay's T&Cs but it is legal, and in a funny way more honest than just refusing to sell when it only reaches £30 or doing a shill bid to avoid selling at a low price.

I can just see the ebay complaint now!

...not only did the buyer place a winning bid for my item, but they also had the spite to pay for the item promptly... :rotfl:

In this case though only the seller gets hurt, he set out with a 99p NR start to pay less ebay fees. There is nothing this seller can do to stop the buyer reporting him as a non performing seller and leaving a neg. A complaint could also be made to ebay on the basis that the seller was using a fee avoidance scheme, which would put a warning on the sellers account as well.

Result for the seller....One neg, one non performing seller report and one warning about fee avoidance. In this case it doesn't matter whether or not the statement was against ebay terms and conditions as the seller loses out anyway.

    Thanks to everyone for this!
But I think you are right about having them on the auction page and not the me page.
Athough t&c that go on endlessly on an auction page annoys me and I wont pay.

I think I'll cull them slightly - the really important thing to me is informing people I wont post to a non-paypal address and tough! I already have payment options in the auction anyway and I dont want to go over the top.

    Thanks again guys!!!!
