runny yoghurt

Ok so i made yoghurt in my Bomann electric yoghurt 900mls milk and 2 tablespoons of live yoghurt and 2 tbspns of dried skimmed milk power but after 8 hrs it`s still yummy and tastes like warm milk? where did i go wrong?

Did you use UHT or fresh milk?

OK, then! You need to scald fresh milk to kill all the bugs - if you didn't do that, then let it cool right down (so as not to kill the bugs in the yogurt you then added) that may be the reason for it not working.

I use whole UHT milk - no need to scald, and I add it to my Easiyo at ambient tmeperature

So can i scald it ?let it cool then add more yoghurt and back into the machine? Thanks so much
