Tesco Mobile question

I have a Tesco Value sim, which is fine but I can only use it in the UK (not a problem most of the time).

However, I'm going ton holiay in September and renting an apartment, I have to ring the bloke a) when I get off the plane and b) when I am outside the apartment. :rolleyes:

I can't be faffing around looking for phone boxes so I'm going to need a mobile, does anyone know if the other Tesco sim card will work abroad? If so I'll just get one for the holiday and revert back to my old one when I return.

The easiest way seems to be to call Tesco Mobile on 4455 and move onto one of the other tariffs which will allow roaming - details here: http://www.tesco.com/mobilenetwork/mytescomobile/?page=switchtariff

Another easy option (if you don't mind having a second mobile number) would be to buy a new Tesco SIM from as little as £5 with double the credit value - effectively cutting the cost of your calls in half:

Tesco works on the O2 network so will roam as o2 would

And when you have returned from your holiday, if you want to you can ring Tesco Mobile again and revert back to the Tesco Value tariff.
