Babies love Crisp packets. They are crinkly and shiny. Just make sure you keep an eye open as they can tear bits off. You can open the whole packet so that the picture is on one side and the other side is silver and give it a wipe over.0

Thank god it's Friday!!!!!
I read all the posts thinking it said 'treasure blankets' and wondered how all these suggested items would fit on a blanket for mum's to carry around.
Only when I opened the links given that the penny dropped!!!0 -
These are more of an occasional treat and not really for a sensory bag, but babies love helium balloons, especially the foil variety. After all, when they let go of most things they fall so to encounter something that goes up is quite extraordinary to them!Self employed and loving it

Would these do?
They are reduced too...↑ Things I wouldn't say to your face

Just a couple more suggestions:
- brightly coloured cotton reels
- teething links (you can get a box off 30 in Poundland and they are all different colours and textures)
- a sponge
Anything at all really that the baby is able to hold and will give them a different texture to feel / colour to look at etc. should keep them stimulated for a while.0 -
Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I have compiled a list and when I am out and about I will look for items to be put into the basket. Wouldn't it be great it someone had a shop selling everything for them? hehehe.

Hi there
If you google treasure basket blind you will find the top hit is a RNIB document for a treasure basket for a visually impaired child although I think it would be great for any baby.
Sorry I can't get the link to work.0
