  • Be careful in relation to this company:

It's a front in order for you to get to confirm you live at an address. What they usually do afterwards is send you some mail, which you have to sign for to further confirm your residence. They are usually doing this on behalf of a debt collection company.

    DON'T USE THIS COMPANY
  • I have had the pleasure????????? of dealing with this company on two occasions, firstly with getting some tickets for an event (finally delivered to a work address and then stolen) and this time with a passport (GB) delivered twice, at home both times, still no passport, still waiting.

This is a company that tries to hide behind anonymity so that no one can complain. The service may work for solicitors and the like who have constantly manned reception desks, but for private addresses it is a less than useless service.

The ticket companies do not care about non delivery, they have had their money and the passport office is a government department. Say no more.

    A point of contact.

Maybe enough letters may do the trick

I am no great fan of this company. I think they treat their couriers contemptuously and dismissively. What I will say in their defence is that they are contracted by various companies to deliver itmes to their customers who lay down any rules and regulations which SMS then has to abide by or lose the contract. Therefore, if you aren't happy with the system it is the Passport Office, the bank or the ticket company or whoever you are dealing with to whom you should complain. SMS are not working for you, they are working for the company who has despatched the item. Consequently no 'permission' or instruction you give them has any bearing at all on how they go about their business. It is not the courier's fault. When I was a courier the 'customer' got as good as they gave. If they treated me well and I treated them better but I did not get paid enough to take their sh*t and didn't do so

My OH just retired from the IPS last September

The complaints from deliveries have more than halved since Royal Mail were dumped

The main issue that people had with the IPS in its customer service surveys was Royal Mail, there was a whole department in the IPS offices dealing solely with Royal Mail, since SMS took over customer satisfaction has shot up

Equally so, the Check and Send service causes them nothing but problems, people assume the IPS are linked with the PO but they aren't they just signed a deal that I doubt will be renewed from what I've heard. All the PO do is check there are 2 photos (not if they are acceptable) check the form is signed in the right places (but not correctly) and take your money with no actual guarantee

I totally agree with mightymike. It appears nothing changed since 2008. I'm a foreigner and need dxsecure to deliver my passport to US embassy. The service is both expensive and terrible.

    1. I missed the mail collection this morning for no reason -- I was waiting at home and I told them my cellphone number.

    2. To arrange a re-collection I need to call the customer service, which usually take 30 min waiting time.

    3. The customer service representatives are anything but helpful. I have spent a day on rescheduling this recolleciton without a clue when to get this done. They some how cannot call me back even though they promised to do so.

    4. They will charge me again for the rescheduled colleciton. I already paid 50 pounds for this service.

The problem is cannot avoid this service since it is the only contractor for US embassy to collect the documents. But this company is impressively taking the advantage of monopoly to be irresponsible.

I wish their was something the small guy could do against this company
I was not at home when my passport was delivered so I recieved a garbled message on my answer phone that was almost inaudable.
I then rang back the passport office to get a reference number for delivery.
Tryinging to get through on DX's premium rate call was an extotionate waste of time. the clock was ticking and I'm losing money for something I already paid to get delivered.
AFTER AN UNFAIR EXPENSE waiting again to be answered I am informed I have to sit home for a window of eight hours for my passport I am told I can have a shorter window for an expense of £6.00. This sounds illegal but they wont listen and my choice is do"do you want it or not"
The girl on the phone is smarmy and rude.
    This is a scam.
Can't anything be done about this. I 've complained to their company but that will fall on deaf ears.:(
