Disposable nappies

Hi all,
I am not sure if this is the right place to post but I am nearly 6 months pregnant and will be using disposable nappies, but want to help keep the costs down.
I would like to know if branded ie Pampers etc are better than non branded ie Tesco etc. What are your faves, what brand works for you any idea or advise would be great.
Thanks x

The Tesco nappies (not the cheap ones, but the own brand ones) were the best for my daughter. We found the Asda own brand and Huggies ones not as good, but Pampers and the Boots own brand ones were also okay. Often though the best nappies depends on the child, as they all have slightly different fits.

I am due in September, and I have heard very good things about Lidl nappies and they work out at about 10p each (Pampers about 26p) so I will give them a try!

Tesco all the way, by far the best fit and value for my boys. I do use pampers when they are on 1/3 off offers, but can't stand huggies, the sizing is really bad.

i always use pampers have tried huggies but they kept leaking and the tesco ones are ok. if you look on tesco wesite it shows you the price per nappy and there are only a couple of pence between them but for newborn the Tesco Ultra Softnewborn 24 work out the cheapest.
ive notice the bigger the sizes the less difference in price

I agree- it depends on the shape of your baby - some have big legs, some have skinny legs, - don't buy too many in advance either, even when they're on special offer - you never know when they're going to go up a size, so it might be a false economy.

Good Luck when the little one arrives!:D

Yup, big thumbs up for Lidl. Also their pullup pants. A much looser fit than the Pampers/Huggies/Tesco type but that's the selling point for me as it allows the air to circulate which is much cooler in summer for an active todd.

I have used lidl nappies ... last 2 packets I have bought have been from there and I think they are brilliant :D ... i use washable nappies aswell so a mixture of the 2. Since my daughter was born (she is almost 1) we have used pampers, tescos own (purple pack) and lidl ... oh and fuzzi bunz all of which are brilliant :)

Huggies are no good for me as they dont have long enough tabs and my daughter has always been chunky
