Yup I'm definitely the thr wrong side of 60, widowed, with two smashing daughters and seven gorgeous grandchildren whom I love the bones off
No pets, and arthritic set of joints, recovering from breast cancer, but enjoying life to the full.Roll on June 16th when my r/therapy finishes and I will have a whoping great G&T to celebrate:j I wake up each day thinking Yessss I 've made it through to another day
Very little gets me down as I find life and folk so interesting My late husband always said I was a nosey mare as I gab for England if you meet me on a bus
I just like people and find them facinating .its great to see how many people chat away on here and I must admit I too thought Twink was around 35 for some reason (does that get me a christmas card Twink):D I love this site and have made lots of friends on here .They have been here even during the night when I have had a wakeful time and couldn't sleep there's always some one to have a jaw with .

I'm 24 and OH is 38. We have 2 sons 5 and 1. I've always loved cooking well, more baking. This place is really addictive but I still have a tendancy to be a lurker.
Gingernutmeg I beat you on age gap!!lol even though I feel like the older one most of the time!!!
You beat me too Lucasmum but only just! I am 47 and my OH is 60 No kids (he has 4 grown up ones, all lovely) but 4 cats. Oh has always been OS but I am trying very hard to be too. I lurk on here every day and really enjoy.0 -
I'm 23. Single, no kids or pets. I live with 3 girls who seem to think that OS is for boring people. I don't think i've ever seen my housemate cook a proper meal.0

Wow what a cross section of ages... It seems whatever your age is you can be OS or needs must and we are ALL becoming OS :j
Saw a post about having kids early... I was 21 when I had my first and 36 when I had my second ... Not sure whether theres a link or not in having kids early and being OS or is it just the ever rising cost of things ....
The other thing that's got me wondering about the posts on this forum is that nearly everybody on this thread who's got children is either in the traditional family setup (between one and four kids, and still with the partner they had the first one with) or a single parent. There don't seem to be nearly as many stepfamilies as you might expect, given how many there are as a proportion of the population. Perhaps a more "traditional" family setup and a tendency towards being Old Style go hand in hand...Operation Get in Shape

Just to be awkward then...;)
I'm 21, live with OH and (half of the week) his two kids (12&10). I try to be OS because we both work full time but i don't want to feed them convenience food so meal planning and batch cooking is very important. Luckily we don't have to scrimp and save but we both enjoy knowing we've got a bargain!odi et amo0 -
