I rang Parcelnet a couple of months ago and yesterday I got a phone call for interview this Thursday! Really need to make some money as maintenance stops next month (ex been made redundant and moving to Middle East to find work) so the twins and my money will be virtually nowt!

If I get this do you know if I could claim Working Tax Credit?

  • I had a job doing this a few years back. I lasted four days. I was in tears as the delivery man kept bringing more and more sacks to my door at 7 in the morning. It was just not practical. Good luck to all who can hack that! I take my hat off to you.
Got Halifax Classic to reduce my interest rate by 5% woohoo - 10/06/08 Thanks MSE!
    Another 3% shaved off 10/12/08
    ANOTHER 4 % June 09:beer:

Must admit this is what worries me about doing this - I can;t bear the thought of my house being full of parcels, it would scare me the living daylights out of me!

  • I agree with ThriftyMomma as when my dad did this on his first day he got 4 Huge sacks like the ones builders use full of all sorts of parcels from mirrors to clothes to vases to shoes ect ect ect some heavy some not so heavy I help in my own car because of it! And the money wasn't that great either.

    But good luck with it!

  • Freakily I have just started with parcelnet on relief.

Saturday was my first day and yes the parcel delivery bloke did come at 7.00am. I had 39 parcels to deliver that ranged from 45p to 85p and some returns to pick up. Really wasnt that bad, took me about 3 hours to complete. but I would say it is impossible with a child in the car (which is what I was hoping to do thus alleviating childcare) sometimes you have to go to flats and shops and park on main Roads and really isnt an option taking the child with you as the parcels and can be quite big.

Hope all that helps, let me know if I can help anymore

thats what i was wondering myself tbh, as i know a few of my friends who live in flats that have catalogue deliveries, so i guess those with children could really only do those ones in the evenings ..
