Why are Americans so thick!!!!

Need to rant. Just had an American file a charge back against me about 10 mins after buying something. It puzzled me so I had a look at her comments. She wondered why there was 3 transaction on her receipt when she only wants one item. It's obviously the amount being transferred between the difference currencies. Then I get "what does Region 2 mean?" even though I explain it on the listing in large bold type. To top it off she only paid a third of the postage - no idea why. Her spelling was terrible too.
And how many times have I have an American complain that their credit card bill shows larger amounts than they expected because they didn't notice the listing was in British pounds and not US dollars.
Don't they teach them anything over there??!!!

I didn't think you could start a chargeback until 7 days from the end of the auction?

I don't like the tarring with the same brush but I have had lots of american buyers that have difficulty understanding the 'simple' things in life.
I too have had buyers pull out after winning auctions because they thought they won in dollars and not pounds.0 -
Spare a thought for those who have to deal with Texans all day ...... :rolleyes:The MSE Dictionary

Its a cultural thing - in America people have no responsibility for their own actions, there is always someone else to blame, someone else to sue. Thats why when you come to the end of a path there is a sign saying 'Take care this is the end of the path' or the contents of a cup of tea has 'warning contains hot liquid'.
Its not their fault, they are just brought up used to being told what to do without having to make their own choices. Sounds crazy? Well the UK is coming more and more like that too. School kids already know that teachers are under so much pressure to deliver stats that they can expect them to spoon feed course work and exams, the stupid warning are already all over our packaging, people are also blaming everyone but themselves.
Im reminded of a recent thread on the londonbylondon news letter from a guy having a rant about that his gf got arrested for fair dodging and provinding a false address. Not once did the guy consider that his gf was at fault for not buying a ticket! No one told her she had to buy a ticket, no one told her she would be challnged at the station, no one told her the address she gave would have to be validated, blah blah blah.
Common sense: R.I.P
(hey its good to rant innit!)

My favourite American wannabe bidder was one who accused me of being racist and anti-American because "you don't sell to Americans". Well, the auction was actually UK-only so I was discriminating against the rest of the world and not just Americans. Obviously there are idiots in all countries, but it's just magnified when dealing with people abroad because of the language/currency/whatever differences.0
