Porting from one PAYG provider to another - best deal?

Hi

I'm looking at bringing a number of PAYG numbers from one network (02) to another.

I'm looking for the best deal to incentivise the move. For instance, do any of the networks provide free credit when porting to them?

It'll strictly be PAYG to PAYG.

Thanks

If O2 coverage isn't the problem, Tesco mobile give you £5 credit for porting a number to them.

There also seem to be a number of deals on their SIM cards about at present. They use the O2 network as their backbone.

    Great, thanks.

Once I leave 02 is it possible for them to allocate a new number to the now worthless o2 sim cards?

Any other deals? Think 3 had one going once?

It is technically possible to reallocate a new number to the old SIM card. However, there doesn't seem much point and I can't see a network that you have just left doing it.
Networks can't/won't allocate numbers to SIM cards provided by a different provider.
