that's great, wish my council did the same. they have suggested we use washables as part of their drive to cut down the bin emptying from weekly to fortnightly. no local shops selling washables though and no council scheme for trying them out. they do give a £30 cheque if the health visitor signs a form to say you use washables. i suppose you could just buy 2, use them at the clinic when weighing (one to wear and one clean one for after the weighing if they ask you to remove the nappy) and get the form signed, then buy more when they send the £30.ahmilligan wrote:Hiya,
Just a thought to those who want to "try before they buy" on the reusable nappies. My local council sells you a trial pack containing 3 nappies, 2 liners and 1 wrap for just £10. Sadly they only send one per household so you cant order loads! Why not give yours a call to see if they have the same thing. It's all about reducing the amount of rubbish theyt need to cart away.
