egg have cancelled my c card ??? and I need advoce

Hi all

I called egg card earlier they advised me " Mr Price we have cancelled your card" ?? I asked why they couldnt give me a reason ?

I have to pay off the balance but cant spend anymore, has this happened to anyone

Another question this c/card is registered at my parents address I havent lived there for 5 years allthough the mail still goes there I never bothered to change the address details

Shall i cancel my direct debit and just not pay the amount ??

Do think I could get away with not paying and sending the mail back saying not known at this address - what a cheek by egg

ps I owe £1000

It's happened to loads of people, it was on the news and in all the papers a few weeks ago and has been on numerous threads on here.

Personally I think you should pay it off.... why should you not pay it?

they won't make you pay off the whole lot though will they?

Are you really happy stealing £1000? And are your parents happy about you doing this? What will your parents tell the bailiffs when they arrive at their door? I'm sure you're struggling but I think that's a really bad idea.... other, less honest people might think you should go for it though! lol

If you're struggling to survive post on the Debt-free Wannabe board, they're really helpful on there.

    Good luck though

Do you want to ruin your credit rating for 6 years and then spend another 3 after that rebuilding it?

They can track you via the electoral roll. As soon as you popup on the electoral roll even 10 years later you will get debt collectors letters and phone calls if you're not ex directory.

They may not be able to get you to pay up but they will punish you for it.

How much is the minimum amount that you can pay each month?

If you cannot afford this, then call them and tell them. They may let you make a payment arrangement, but this will have a negative impact on your credit record.

Even if you move, or if your phone number is ex directory, they will catch up with you.

If you are having problems meeting your financial obligations, then as the others have said, post your SOA on the Debt Free Wanabee board.

Edit: As you have a mortgage on your property, there is absolutely no doubt that they will find you!
