    Curlyboy - sounds like you need to get your spending under control, and fast. If I were you I would start by cutting up the cards so you can't use them anymore - Egg have already helped you by cancelling your card with them - don't think on it as a "cheek" on their part, in the long term you will realise it;s done you a favour.

    As others have said - post up your full details on the Debt free wannabee board and take the help and advice that will be offered. In the short term start yourself a spending diary - write down EVERYTHING, and I mean everything you spend - seems silly but it really does help you to get a grip on your budget and where your money goes.

    Seems you've realised that you were speaking out of panic before - stealing really isn't the answer, and especially not when you've posted your intentions on a public forum!

    Based on the information given by the OP, Egg were right to cancel his card as they were with the other 160,000 customers. I never had mine cancelled unless of course you consider it favourtism.
