Free stuff for your new home

I put my date in as 28th June, and they haven't changed it. I'll let you know whether my box arrives on Sat!

I'm white with a white surname and I had to wait ages for mine, despite an early moving date and being one of the first to apply. Have you considered that maybe you all put different moving dates so they're waiting to make one delivery when you've all "moved"? Or that they're wondering why 30 people in the same area are all moving at once? Or that they've run out of boxes?

There's probably a perfectly simple explanation to consider before whipping out the race card. :rolleyes:

Well i'm white with a white last name (Well, it comes from Derby originally) and I recieved two boxes. One this morning and one a month ago.
Maybe the people giving out the free boxes prefer people with white names and a East Midlands connection...?!

I didn't recieve my 100 free jelly beans, but that could be 'cos i'm not a fat khunt and wasn't sat refreshing the page at the stroke of midnight...

Theres lots of simple reasons that people don't get free stuff...

oh please lets not start that nonsence on here....I am sure there are lots of reasons why some have received theirs and others have not. As a note three of my friends - all asians with very asian names HAVE received theirs and yet my mum who is english with a very english name has not. I guess that rather throws your theory out the window - doesn't it?????

!!!!!!!!! I am white with a white name and my box hasnt turned up. Get over it, I am kind of with others who have said there are alot of reasons why you dont always get things, but playing that card without any more than a straw poll amongst a few people leaves alot to be desired. It also makes it rough for people who really do have a cause to say that! All in my humble opinion of course!!

Would you be able to pick it up anyway, you know, with that great chip on your shoulder? It's people like you that encourage racism by always shrieking about it when in fact, you just were unlucky or just have to wait. I've applied for like 30 freebies in the last fortnight, how many have I received? Two. I wanted the alarm clock given away by the asian law/accident firm. I didn't get one. OMG! Discrimination! It's because I'm white. Really. It is. It's not because they ran out, or because some greedy get ordered 5 and they've caught on to all the owt-for-nowts diving in, it's because they know I'm white. I'm off to the CRE immediately. :rolleyes:
