Unsecured debt will be paid in 5 years time, sooner if I can. Then add more to mortgage payments to get rid of quicker. After all this travel with hubby, without putting on cards, as our children will have finished university and the world is a big place.

Oooh debt free, what will I do? Book a two week holiday in Greece for the family (as soon as i have the deposit).
After that is paid and done, the following year book a one week ski holiday for the family, along with hiring a UK cottage for a week in summer (refuse to go back to doing 2 holidays abroad in one year).
Book London theatre tickets for a day out.
But I guess the very first thing I ought to do.... is apply for my passport renewal!!!working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
I like this thread, we should keep it going so when ever we feel down or cant go on anymore we can open this up and see all our thoughts and dreams to remotivate us.
My friends getting married in america so i would like to be able to get a passport, save up lots of spending money and spend 2 weeks in america. Thats my dream.
The main thing i need to do is start saving for a deposit on a house and possibly move into rented.
I love the idea of the spa holiday though that would be blissProud to be Dealing with my Debts

What a fab thread! I'm hoping to be debt free early 2009, and am getting married in August 2009. At the moment, I'm deliberately not looking at dresses, flowers etc, because I want to wait until I'm debt free to buy them! That is what is keeping me going!0

You are so so right, I read it today and got all excitied as the things we are are writing are not empty dreams they can be reality we just have to keep on our debt free paths.
Broken Hearted, your landscaped garden and hot tub sound fantastic. Will bring my bikini!
Sammy_girl - hang in there!! you really have a lovely goal to keep focussed on.
Newleywed - I giggled at yours, the price of a passport is so crazy we have to wait until we are debt free to get a renewal!! lolIn Jan 2007 I had a debt of £27,896.00 :eek:In October 2011 I paid it off and owned £0.00 - Kinda proud of this!:T0 -

I’m going far away on a body holiday all by myself. It’s an all inclusive trip in St Lucia at a spa resort. You have a daily treatment and can yoga each morning; it’s amazing you also have a personal trainer so you come back tanned and looking hot to trot. It will be my treat for working so hard to pay of this debt. I'm going to go on my birthday.
I'm going to spend some time planning it down to the very last detail so that when I feel fed up or bored or low about the debts I can open my ‘Body Holiday’ folder and look inside and get excited about it. Even now as I’m typing images of it are floating around my head
Wow, that holiday sounds coolio.
I am credit card debt free now, not mortgage free though and I am going on holiday next month. I'm not sure where yet but I want it all inclusive and at least 4 star.:jHOUSE MOVE FUND £16,000/ £19,000
