I would argue this, I would suggest that you may think that you are offering the best offer, i would suggest that a lot of door to door deals can be bettered by going online, if your deals are always so good, why the general reluctance to leave leaflets/quotes outlining the wonderful deals you offer?

if you are going online to buy, change anything, youve already faced your going to do it yes?
you already have the thought in your head or you would not be online agreed?
when you are at home going about your business and a salesman knocks your door, what are the odds that at that min you were thinking about buying/changing whatever that salesman is selling?
so as business where would you put your best offer?
i already know your going to do it online so as long as the deal is good enough your do it, in order to get you to buy/change at the door it would be easier to interest you if it was a brilliant deal no? oposed to an excepbable one?

Oh I can answer this one with a simple word - commission!
They don't get paid to leave leaflets. In fact, a lot don't get paid at all without sales.

agreed. your dead right. if a salesman has told you everything, the deal is better, and you can see it in black and white, and you still say no and ask to be left a leaflet why should he leave you one? your right wownt get paid for it. you get given a certain amount of leaflets a day and you HAVE to leave one in the house if a customer is signed up, so that leaflet is a potential 50 pound . why would he give to someone who in pheory is calling that salesman a liar?

You should be allowed to kill people who you don't know who trespass uninvited on to your property.

These sharks are NOT your friends. They do NOT want to give you something for free and they are most certainly NOT trying to help you.

Simply say "Go away now or I will call the police."

The sooner these leeches are extinct the better.

uneducated idiotic comment....this is what im talking about. what do you do for a living?

Honest arnser? a door knocker will look at your " sticker " ( a good door knocker anyway ) and think your be an easy sale, whilst some people think they are being extremly clever by sticking a sticker on there door all your doing is attracting them, a sticker would imply you are worried about door knockers, but what would you have to be worried about? if your confident enough in your own albility to sus a con or a bad deal then you shouldnt have a problem talking to a door saleman, infact you should welcome it because if the salesman deals with all your opjections and your happy with the way hes handled them then hes done his job well, you should be happer youve got a got deal, everyones a winner, thats the idea of door to door sales. at the end of the day people are busy with there own lives, you can stand there and say " if i wanted it i would have asked for it " but if you dont KNOW about it, because its not your profession then whats the harm in telling you? im sorry but i will never understand peoples problem with door to door sales, the general public just like a moan.

What a load of rubbish..... You knock because you think I may be easily conned

When my says that I will not buy anything at the door, this means exactly that....... I can't honestly see why you would be surprised that I will not stand at the door debating the pros and cons of your tat.... I do not want to be disturbed... My signs says so. I will not buy anything at the door.... My signs says so. I will not engage in polite banter... I will generally ask if you can read..... My sign says so

Again, you have no chance of making a sale, all I will do is ask if you can read, report you to trading standards and email the organisations chief exec you are selling on behalf of

The other side of this is, that what you have told me is lies
This is not the best deal
The deal you have offered me will cost more than you said
You are afraid to leave evidence of your deception for trading standards to see

An honest salesman would have no issue explaining the deal, leaving information and contact details for the sale to proceede when the householder has had time to verify the wonderful life changing deal you promise

    This makes no sense....
You initially reported that door to door sales staff had the best deals.... We. Know that's not the case, generally most door to door deals can be bettered by going on line... No commission see?

You are right, I am probably not thinking about changing suppliers or buying your product at the exact time you disturb my dinner or wake my children by knocking on my door despite my polite sticker asking you not to..... But do you honestly think you have softened me up and made me receptive to your sales technique by winding me up before you start your sales banter? Do you ?

Now I could keep you chatting for 15 minutes asking every possible question about your product before saying no or I could just tell you to do one and let you move on to your next customer (or should that be victim) .......... You know what though.... You seem to want me to chat with you, ask you about your products... Even though my sign says I will not buy anything.... So the next time one of your colleagues knocks on my door I will do as you suggest, I will be polite and engaging.... I might even start to fill in your form with made up details...... But then right at the point of closing, I will point to my sign.... Does this work better for you?
