I haven't been enjoying the sunshine too much today. I should really go out to the garden soon today. I will regret it when it gets rainy by the weekend.

    evening

just waiting for my SIL to arrive before we go for our 5-6km walk! Damn - she's just texted to say she forgot I'll wait a little and see if she turns up otherwise I'll be going on my own!

I've got to tackle Everest later on (especially if I want to wear some clean and wrinkle free clothes at work tomorrow).

Ebay - hope you get your case packed and have a wonderful holiday. Themaccas - good luck with childcare. I'd go with option 1 in the short term as you've given them a solution to your problem and it's hopefully a short-term problem!
Keren - I'd be well annoyed if my shopping didn't arrive as requested... then again I do like trawling round the isles and examining produce.
smashed - glad you had some decent sleep, you obviously needed it!

Hope it's a great evening for everyone.

Well I have a little problem to deal with when my son gets home!
This morning he waved 2 £2 coins in front of my face and said "I found these on my way home from school yesterday, will you change them for £1 coins?"
Well I was suspicious because he never mentioned finding them on the way home when I picked him up yesterday and believe me he would have been leaping up and down!
I phoned my Dad who walked with him all the way and he confirmed that no money was found.
I think he's taken them out of my £2 coin tin and tried to exchange them for pound coins in my purse!
    Little monkey!
I'm not going to be cross with him but I want the truth when he comes home, got to nip this in the bud!

I've just been very MSE :)

My nanna and grandad always send me a couple of pound for my birthday (bless them) and I've had a card with a £2 coin in it. I decided I didn't just want to put it in my purse and use it when I pop to Tesco Express etc, I wanted to get something with it so it feels like a present.

Sat and thought for a while (£2 doesn't go far!) and remembered that my one and only trio eyeshadow is knackered and just about all gone. I've been meaning to put one on the list for the last couple of weeks but keep forgetting. I only wear makeup very occasionally, but I've been wearing a bit to work since I started to try to look presentable!!

Anyway, the upshot is that I've just bought a trio eyeshadow off Ebay for £1.90 including the postage :)

    10p left !

that is so sweet, my grandma sent me a £1 coin every christmas for a colouring book and felt pens up until she died when i was 18:D

i have woken up this morning looking like quasimodo(sp?) i think i have a stye on my left eye as it was half closed this morning.its still bleeding itchy and annoying.

i have got some good news for once though, my hubby got promoted today:T
his boss did tip us off last night and then we went to his house and emptied a few bottles of smirnoff ice or rather i did.
dh went to his new/old work today to get a room and drop off his stuff, as the car is mine and he doesnt usually get use of it:D

where is everyone today, have you all fell into a black hole:p

its driving me potty as i can't stop rubbing it.
i will try that in a bit and hopefully it will sooth it a tad.

oh god yeh, we are dead chuffed ref the promotion as it will be costing him food charges for living in the mess and obviously travelling home so we are just hoping it more or less covers the extras we need to cover while living apart, sounds terribly practical and sensible........
