just had a call and I don't need to go back to work as one of the other receptionists will stay on.

However, my boss has just said that I can have a few extra hours each week if I want until the Ofsted inspection at the beginning of June........that will be worth having.

Had some sad news about a family friend who sadly took his own life at the weekend which was a terrible shock to us all :( So feeling abit down in the dumps today, am very much looking forward to my holiday next month :) x

    Balls.

There's a whole bag of shopping missing from Asda. French dressing, lettuce, braising steak (3 packs!), 2 packs of pork mince and 3 lots of quorn sausages.

They are all next to each other on the list so I reckon they are in the same bag.

    Balls.

There is a printed note on the docket with the phone number of the home shopping manager but he doesn't start again until 6.

I don't need any of it today, but I do need the stuff!!!!! If i phone customer services, they'll probably just refund me, but I'd rather see if I can get another bag delivered.

I'm going to wait until 6 and then call him.

    Balls.

EDIT: called and spoke to someone else in the department. They are going to try to re-deliver it tonight, but if not, tomorrow afternoon - I could hear the delivery girl going 'I never saw any quorn sausages or mince - they must have gone to another customer!!' Followed by some random swearing.......:rotfl:

Hi everyone, having a bit of a down day today. Sold 23 items on ebay for the grand total of........£38 hardly worth the effort:rolleyes: . I have been off work since we moved and am back later this week. I have had to arrange new childcare and thought I would be able to use the after school club. That's not possible as we found out it is full and there is a waiting list so I rung some childminders. Just 3 go to the school, 1 has stopped, no. 2 I went to see, really liked her, signed the contract and then told me today at the school gate she couldn't do it now. no 3 I phoned last week (before nos 1 and 2) and she promised to get back to me but never did. She is my last hope!!!!! I'll try and ring her again this evening. I'm getting desperate now, I'm back to work on Thursday!!

Well that didn't go too well, phoned the 3rd CM and she was downright rude to me....!!!!!! have I done?!! Blooming heck!

Ok now need to decided what to do. I have NO childcare for after school for the rest of the term. Do I:

Take ds2 to a different school around 4 miles away and the opposite way to my work. They have school and afterschool places. Don't really like this option as he's just started his new school. However the school is lovely and I wish I had looked into it more before we moved here.

Negotiate with my work and work my hours over 5 days just until 3rd July. Very tricky one but if there is an end date they might go for it. After school places are re allocated every year and there is a very good chance we may get one in Sept.

I'd definitely try this option first. hope you work something out - must be a stress!

I've just been very MSE :)

My nanna and grandad always send me a couple of pound for my birthday (bless them) and I've had a card with a £2 coin in it. I decided I didn't just want to put it in my purse and use it when I pop to Tesco Express etc, I wanted to get something with it so it feels like a present.

Sat and thought for a while (£2 doesn't go far!) and remembered that my one and only trio eyeshadow is knackered and just about all gone. I've been meaning to put one on the list for the last couple of weeks but keep forgetting. I only wear makeup very occasionally, but I've been wearing a bit to work since I started to try to look presentable!!

Anyway, the upshot is that I've just bought a trio eyeshadow off Ebay for £1.90 including the postage :)

    10p left !
