Thanks for your advice, the exam itself wasn't too bad but had a nightmare time before!! I went to the hall we'd been told to go to and couldn't find my seat. Spoke to a tutor who looked at his list and told me I wasn't in that room. As i'm classed as disabled due to back problems I'd been allocated extra time and I'd been put in a different room, in a different building at the other end of the campus. I was meant to have received a letter which I never got. Anyway I set off to where they'd told me to go to and when I got to the next building was told I was in the wrong place again, eventually found the right room 20 minutes after start of exam and then found my name wasn't on the seating plan for there either. One of the tutors rang someone up, who rang someone else up and confirmed I was in the right room and then had to wait a futher ten minutes whilst she brought me an exam paper!! I eventually started the exam a good half hour late but they allowed me my full time! I've had an e-mail this morning confirming where I am for my next 2 exams but what a nightmare!!!

Oh dear. Not what you need before an exam! Glad things worked out though and good luck for the next two.

Optimise your brain: give it water and sugar. Maybe some caffeine also. I use to have an odd ritual of taking a paracetamol with a cup of sweet tea (with a shot of single malt whiskey in it !!)

Paracetamol to stop any potential headache
    caffeine to boost my brain
    sugar to fuel it
    whiskey to calm my nerves

It may have been a stomach ulcer waiting to happen, but it was my ritual!

I usually take paracetamol too just to avoid 'potential' aches and pains. :rotfl: I rather like the idea of the whiskey though. ;)

Oh Yully! - what a horrible mix-up - really bad of the system

Make sure you let your personal tutor know about the situation - such stress can (if necessary) be taken into consideration :kisses3:

Though I had to giggle at the ernest student standing next to me when I checked my seat number -

    Me - "Oh No.13!"
Her - "You can get your mark upgraded with that unlucky number!"
Me - "Not superstitous, it's just easy to remember" :rotfl:

How I wish I'd seen this thread yesterday. I had my first exam today and drank plenty of water and lucozade but forgot the all important visit to the toilet! As soon as the invigilator said to start the pain began. And to top things off THERE WAS A QUEUE IN THE MENS!

Oh well at least I know for next time.

I had my first exam of this set. I visited the little boys room before the exam, but drank quite a bit of water during it so had to go. The invidulator followed me into the toilet to check I wasn't cheating! I guess its fair as there is a girl in my exams who constantly goes to the toilet and am confident she cheats (harsh, but I'm sure its true). It hards to go when somebody's watching, they don't usually do that!

Well all the exams are out of the way for this year but I really feel I have failed the last one I took and maybe resitting, it was so hard I didnt understand what half of the questions were asking - they were multiple choice and reckon there is no way I have done enough to pass. It is heartbreaking all my grades for this year have been A & B's, I have revised like crazy and worked really hard but don't think it was enough to get through this one.
